Since sustainability is increasingly becoming a focus worldwide and the hospitality industry still has a lot of potential for optimisation in this area, SHL Schweizerische Hotelfachschule Luzern sees it as one of its core tasks to thoroughly educate its students on this topic. Hospitality management students are being trained to become future leaders in the industry and therefore play a vital role in making it more sustainable. From sourcing food in a more environmentally friendly way, reducing food waste and coming up with innovative ideas, the students at SHL learn the skills and knowledge necessary to implement environmentally, socially and economically sustainable practices in hotels, restaurants, tourism and other hospitality businesses.
