What’s your advice for new students? Finding a career can feel so far away, but I really encourage students to realize that your career is already starting when you begin college. What’s the best way to get started? Little things like getting involved, picking up an on-campus job, volunteering in the community – that’s career development. What if a student has no idea what career path to pursue? Not everybody has this immediate clarity of what they want to do. We have a lot of different tools and encourage students to take assessments that identify their current interests and skills that they bring to the table. How does your team support students? We have a lot of skill-building resources and programs so students can jump in and develop skills that they need to be successful. Students can come to our team for job-search strategies, and things like developing résumés or cover letters, mock interviews, peer coaching, and more.
