PillPack PillPack — one such Boston-area start-up founded by MCPHS alumnus TJ Parker - was acquired by Amazon in 2018. Parker, who followed in his father’s footsteps to become a pharmacist, workshopped the idea for PillPack during his time at MCPHS. His goal was to simplify the end-to-end process of managing medications. Amazon, looking to diversify their e-commerce portfolio, acquired the personalized pill package shipping company for $752 million.
